Before founding The Uptrack, Oli built a career as an engineer, trained to design complex systems, quantify risk, and make sound calls when the stakes are real. That discipline now underpins every trip he guides. As an ACMG-certified ski guide working out of Rogers Pass and the Revelstoke region, he brings a rigour to route planning, snowpack and terrain assessment that goes well beyond the industry standard.
But technical competence is only half of the equation. What makes a trip worth booking? The answer is hospitality: an attentiveness to the details that let you fully inhabit the mountain experience without friction. Considered meals, clear communication, and terrain matched to who you are as a skier or rider. Every trip is built with the same intentionality an engineer brings to a well-built system.
